Dear Model UN Faculty Advisor,
As Secretary General of Bentley Model United Nations, I cordially invite you to attend the 22nd Annual Bentley University Model United Nations High School Conference. Our reputation and our 22 years of success can be largely attributed to you and your students, whose commitment and effort have made this one of the most successful Model United Nations conferences around! Please join us for yet another great conference!
We take pride in labeling BMUN as a teaching conference and welcome students of all experience levels. The reasonably smaller committee sizes create an encouraging environment for student participation. Throughout the conference, our staff, faculty advisors, and United Nations dignitaries offer valuable insight and expertise on all aspects of Model United Nations and international issues.
The 2010 BMUN conference will run from Friday, May 28 through Sunday, May 30. Delegates stay at a local hotel in Waltham and are provided with bus transportation to Bentley University for committee sessions. To reward students for great debate and hard work, we plan fun nightly events. We will organize a movie night with snacks, as well as a Saturday evening excursion to Quincy Market in Boston where Students and advisors can enjoy dinning, shopping, and the scenery of the city.
Attached you will find an itinerary, health forms registration forms, available countries and this year’s topic list. The health forms are due by the date of the conference, roommate selection forms are due by April 16th, and the $100 initial deposit per student is due by March 19th, and total payment is due by April 16th. The all inclusive weekend including meals, conference activities, and hotel, and transportation runs at a considerably low cost of $315 per student. In order to secure the rooms at the hotel we would like to ask you to please email me whether you are planning on attending and roughly how many people you are going to bring by the end of the week. Due to high demand for local hotels we may not be staying at the Westin, and if we are staying at a less expensive hotel, we will refund part of the registration fee. In that case we will allow for a partial refund of the fees. Please email me, David Norrish, Secretary General of Bentley Model United Nations, with any questions at norrishi_davi@bentley.edu. We look forward to seeing you there!
Sincerely,
David Norrish
